President's Day 2015

Colorado!

It’s hard to believe but after this last ski trip, I now have 21 days skiing Colorado for this season. For President’s Day weekend; Mike, Tyler and I flew out for 4 days of skiing.
Sunny and Warm

When we arrived in Denver, the temperature was 30 degrees warmer then St. Louis. The first two days of skiing were warm and sunny days on the mountain, but the snow was nice and soft. Saturday we headed over to Copper and mainly stayed on the back side of the resort. We even hiked up Copper bowl and traversed over to Tucker Mountain, where we found some nice powder stashes.

Mike skiing the bowl, can you see him?

There he is!

This was also Tyler’s first attempt at side country skiing. Sunday a cold front moved in and dropped 6 inches overnight. Another 2 inches fell during the day on Monday, making Monday a sweet powder day. Tyler and I headed over to the Eagle Wind territory for the goods, tree and pillow skiing!

Typical Tyler take off, guess what happens next?
The flight home was a bit crazy with an hour and a half delay, putting me home around 1:30 am Tuesday morning. Overall it was a great trip with better than expected snow conditions. Enjoy the pictures, until the next adventure.
